Title: IT Supplier Manager
Day Rate: £105,000 + Benefits
Based: London (2-3 days a week)
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Establish and manage supplier relationships, contract compliance, and performance standards.
- Align supplier strategies with IT and business objectives.
- Support Procurement with market insights and sourcing initiatives.
- Develop and implement best practice approaches for supplier management, including Supplier Relationship Management, Contract Management, and Performance Management.
Policy & Process
- Lead supplier segmentation and contract management aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Define, monitor, and improve KPIs and service levels.
- Manage supplier performance reviews, risk registers, and contract governance.
Customer & Supplier Relationships
- Build strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Advise on contract adjustments to meet business needs.
- Stay informed on industry best practices and maintain supplier benchmarking.
Technical Oversight
- Conduct vendor reviews and manage the Software Assets and Rights Management (SARM) team.
- Ensure software renewals and IT requirements align with business needs.
- Provide accurate data for effective decision-making.
People & Influence
- Collaborate across IT and Procurement, driving outcomes through influence and support.
- Act as a trusted advisor on Third-Party relationships and service delivery.
Skill Requirements
- Qualified within own personal discipline, with extensive post-qualification work experience to include:
- Working as part of a senior team within a complex organisation (preferably within financial services industry)
- At least 5 years of relevant Technology procurement/vendor management experience
- Experience of working with ITO’s and transitioning of services to a Third Party
- Extensive experience working with offshore vendors
- Strong technical IT knowledge
- Understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
- Strong negotiation, influencing, analytical skills
- Project/change management skills/disciplines
- Strong customer orientation skills and ability to proactively manage customer expectation
