A Global Tech company require a Contract Cloud Security Consultant (AWS). In this role, you will collaborate with the Enterprise Security, Architecture, Cloud Enablement & Engineering teams to plan, implement, and optimise security controls in the cloud, particularly within AWS environments. Your expertise will be crucial in driving the implementation of Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) capabilities and ensuring cloud security posture remains robust and compliant with industry standards.

Day Rate: £750-£800pd
IR35 Status: Inside
Duration: 6 months initially
Travel: 2 days a week in Hertfordshire office

This Cloud Security Consultant will have the previous following experience:

• Worked closely with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and optimise cloud security controls. Lead efforts to enhance security configurations and policies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with industry standards, including the Cloud Security Alliance, Cloud Controls Matrix and NIST guidelines.
• Implemented and enforced standards and policies to safeguard workloads and the cloud infrastructure, applying a deep understanding of IAM, RBAC, SIEM, firewalls & CNAPP.
• Deep technical security background with in-depth knowledge of cross-cloud security principles and standard processes.
• Served as a technical security expert, providing advice and guidance to team members and the wider business. Act as a trusted advisor, helping to shape and drive the security agenda across key business units.
• Conducted comprehensive technical assessments of existing cloud security capabilities and solutions to identify vulnerabilities and risks. Develop actionable recommendations and strategies for securing cloud solutions.
• Implemented security measures for cloud-native applications, including container security and serverless architectures. Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate the deployment of security controls, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
