Cloud Architect

La Fosse are currently partnered with a leading customer who are looking to recruit a Cloud Architect on their team, who will play an important role leading their strategy in this area moving forward.

The role is based out of their London office, and the company policy is 50/50 between home and office working on a monthly basis. Thursday is typically a technology day in the office, then the other days are flexible, depending on working requirements.

The salary on offer is £100,000 to £120,000 depending on experience, and there’s a 30% annual bonus attached to this role as well. Naturally, it comes with a very competitive and attractive benefits package.

Azure is the key cloud platform here, but some exposure to AWS as well would be a benefit.

Skills and Knowledge needed:

• Strong understanding of Cloud infrastructure, SaaS, IaaS and PaaS, and Azure in particular
• In depth knowledge Cloud Architecture and Design Patterns
• Willingness to learn new skills, adopt new technologies and stay up to date
• Ability to produce and present high quality technical documentation
• Knowledge of a variety of storage technologies, NoSQL/document databases/RDBMS, such as Azure SQL Server, MongoDB, Couchbase or similar
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, ARM templates, Azure DevOps, Key Vault, Let’s Encrypt, Application Gateway, Firewalls, Cloud Networking, VPN/ExpressRoute
• Knowledge of Google Apigee or another API Management Platform
• Knowledge of Okta or another Identity Access Management Platform
• Knowledge of typical enterprise architecture cloud patterns for event sourcing, asynchronous/guaranteed message delivery, microservices
• Cloud Certifications (Azure or AWS) are highly desirable
