What is the role of a Tax Director?
In your role as a Tax Director, you will be responsible for all tax-related activities within a company and ensure that all matters related to taxes are handled promptly and accurately. A tax director may also be responsible for developing new tax strategies and policies for the business, including setting up new tax forms or implementing new accounting methods.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for a range of tax related services and comply to relevant laws and regulations within a specified timeframe
- Analysing financial statements of companies, such as income statements and balance sheets, to determine how transactions should be taxed
- Develop relationships and communicate effectively with clients to provide great planning, advice, and guidance
- Identify, develop strategies, and reduce any tax risks with the help of auditors
- Ensure that all tax laws are followed by company employees
- Manage accounting employees and evaluate their performance
- Overseeing and organising tax audits
- Identifying ways to reduce the company’s taxes by reviewing financial statements and other records

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Tax Director or experience in a similar role
- Sufficient knowledge in tax accounting, tax compliance and tax returns
